About Us

San Isidro is a landlocked municipality in the coastal province of Isabela.

The municipality has a land area of 71.90 square kilometers or 27.76 square miles which constitutes 0.55% of Isabela's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 27,044. This represented 1.59% of the total population of Isabela province, or 0.73% of the overall population of the Cagayan Valley region. Based on these figures, the population density is computed at 376 inhabitants per square kilometer or 974 inhabitants per square mile.

Office of the Municipal Agriculture

The Office of the Municipal Agriculture is an agency of the Philippine government responsible for the promotion of the Agriculture & Fisheries development and growth. In partnership with the Department of Agriculture, provide benefits of development to the poor, especially in the rural areas.

    Prosperous rural communities built on profitable farms that provide surplus for agro-industry and guarantees food security.

  • Increase income of farmers & fisherfolks, thereby contributing to the achievement of national goal of alleviating poverty, generating productive opportunities, fostering social justice and equity, and promoting sustainable economic growth.

  • • Extension on site research services and facilities related to agriculture and fishery activities which includes dispersal of livestock and poultry, fingerling’s, vegetable seeds, medicinal plant gardens, fruit trees and other kinds of seedling nurseries;

    • Demonstration farms, improvement and development of distribution channels preferably through cooperatives, water and soil utilization and conversion projects;

    • Enforcement of Fishery Laws in municipal waters including conservation of forest.

Government support that reduces the cost of high-quality seeds for farmers, encouraging the adoption of improved seed varieties for better yields.

Fertilizer Subsidy

Provides financial aid or discounts on fertilizers, aiming to make them more affordable for farmers and promote their use to enhance crop productivity.

Crop Insurance

A protective measure for farmers, offering compensation in case of crop failure due to natural disasters, pests, or other unforeseen events, minimizing financial losses.
